1970 Dodge Dart Swinger Fender Tag
The fender tag, in addition to the broadcast sheet, lists the options each car was equipped with. The Sheets are printed before the vehicle is manufactured and therefore won't list every option. The fender tag is produced at the end of the line and has all the options listed for accounting purposes.This is a genuine Dodge Dart Swinger 340 produced in Panther Pink with black interior and Rally Instrument Cluster Options. The transmission is a Heavy Duty 727 automatic built to 383 Magnum specifications. The frame has extra strength torque boxes unique to 340 darts.
Paint code FM3 is Panther Pink, a promotional colour used in Spring of 1970. This extra-cost, high impact colour was rare. The build date, 319, establishes that this car was assembled March 19th as part of a Spring promotion. 13,785 1970 Swinger 340's were made. It's estimated that less than 110 were Panther Pink.
The fender tag codes not listed on the Broadcast Sheet are M43, N41, N42 and R11. M43 is a chrome grille surround molding, N41 is factory dual exhaust, N42 is factory dual chrome exhaust tips, R11 is a 2-watt AM MusicMaster radio. 319 is the build date, March 19th 1970.
